Jarod J. Detrick

Dr. Jarod J. Detrick graduated from Nova Southeastern University and Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University (formerly Salus University). After completing hands-on training in a variety of practice settings up and down the East Coast, he is excited to return to the capital region.

During his rotation year, he provided patient care at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC, performing comprehensive eye exams and acute care visits. He also completed a specialty contact lens rotation in Fort Lauderdale, FL, fitting soft, scleral, and rigid gas-permeable lenses. At the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, SC, he focused on ocular disease management for veterans. His final rotation at The Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University emphasized pediatrics and binocular vision.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, as well as the New York State Optometric Association.
